Description:

For this week’s curriculum, students will learn a fun and creative Contact Improvisational exercise called “Creating a Base”. Working with both partners and larger groups, students will get an introduction to the ‘basing’ concept used in Doubles Pole, as dancers act as a body platform to support the weight of their partner. This week could be easily bundled with the “Doubles Moves for Everyone” and “Clay Sculpting” Curriculum Builders to create several weeks of partner work that is great for promoting camaraderie amongst students!
