Description:

Proper spotting and knowing when it is required is important for both your student AND YOU. Spotting is NOT catching your student if they begin to fall – if this happens and you are not hands-on, you will risk injury to both your student and yourself. Spotting is hands-on supporting your student at key points of movement and protecting their key vital areas (chiefly the head, neck and shoulders as well as supporting their center point of gravity) so that if a fall does happen, you can help the student re-engage their grip on the pole as quickly as possible and/or guide the student’s fall helping them land safely, without injuring you or the student.
