Description:

The Double Knee Hang is a terrific inversion to learn on the hoop.

SAFETY NOTE:

Only release your hands when you feel absolutely secure. And, as with all inversions on this website, be sure to have a qualified spotter spot your moves until you are fully secure to execute this move on your own. Be sure to keep your legs and glutes squeeze tightly with your heels pressing toward your glutes to keep a firm hold on your Lyra/Hoop.

Key Grip Points:
  • Back of Knees
  • Hands (as needed)

Fatal Era's picture

Maybe this is a dumb question - but once upside down with your knees locked - couldn't you catch your feet (if you have the back flexibility and core strength) for an interesting variation...? Either way - good lesson :-)
